Sienna's 100wc:
I woke up to darkness, shadow: the sound of eerie breathing floating around. I was in a cave of shallow stone encased in the dirt from different ages. A heavy breathing grew louder.Petrified, I whirled around with my heart in my mouth… nothing. I then ran. As I came around a corner the dank scenery began to lift: pearly light bouncing off the pale walls… then… I saw it. The light was So bright I couldn't see at first, but then a ruby glow shone out unique to this jewel however…

Josh & Adam's 100wc:
The light was so bright it was gleaming in my face, like a beautiful diamond so blue. Amazing... suddenly the world started to crumble one shake, two shakes,and then every building was crumbling and cracking day and night. Finally there was peace no guns firing. I nervously had a look over the top of our brutal trench. After that I saw the germans firing a hail storm of bullets knocking are troops down like dominos 1 by 1. I ducked quickly but it was too late it was just me and Jim left we had blood on both our faces that was going to get infected.

We finished off our fractions work with a graffiti maths session - I was REALLY pleased with the huge amount of mathematical discussion going on!

Nathaniel & Matty's 100wc - week 17...

we  were being chased by a giant white UFO through the dark murky woods. As we ran I remembered what had happened…

       we were cycling home from a nightclub when we decided to use a shortcut through the woods. When we had reached the  peak of the forest we  stopped to have a drink, when we stopped we saw a bright light in the distance, it was coming towards us so we  flew down the hill as fast as we could we were travelling at the speed of light.  As we looked behind us we saw it gaining on us, the light was SO bright. As we reached the edge of the woods and it had gone and decided to forget what had happened.

THE LIGHT WAS SO BRIGHT !!!!!

I couldn't believe my eyes when I heard a loud bangging noise. I quickly ran outside and saw something that looked like an alien invasion. But then I got teleported into something that looked like a flying saucer:it was as big as the city.

(Suddenly I knew I vanished) then I knew i was a little spec of dust flying at a speed of light, I ran backwards and bangged my head and I fell to the ground with a thump. I woke up in a panic and  figured that there was aliens right in front of me I didn't know what to do....

Wednesday 14th March 1924

Molly W & Leonie's 100wc - week 17...

It was a snowy, wintery morning after a night of gossip, popcorn and movies, it was time to get up…

Once Leonie and I were ready, we slipped on our fluffy Ugg boots and swung on our cosy coats and made our way to ‘STARBUCKS’

After a short 5 minute walk we felt the warm cocoa. Air hit our rosy cheeks as we made our way to the queue…

As we strutted our way to the biggest emerald sofa with our iced drinks there was sudden BANG as the lights flickered off…

Screams of terror filled the room as a blindly bright light filled our eyes with horror… :)

As usual I was running down the narrow street to meet my best friend Honey.
But when I arrived, she was no - where to be seen, all I heard was the alarm, coming from her house. So I rushed as fast as a cheetah. She was not there. On the outside I kept a straight face( but in the inside I felt like screaming, so everyone could hear me ). I went in to investigate then suddenly I heard a noise. It was Honey. She was screaming. I ran up the stairs, she was there, but she had red eyes. I didn't understand was she the monster? .
The light was, so bright as she began to turn began to cast a curse on me...

Yesterday it was a dark and stormy day,we were playing catch outside on the street when suddenly a black cloud smeared across the sky. We were just about to throw the ball then a massive gust of wind swept it into the distance, and then we ran as fast as the wind that was hitting our face into the house. while we were running in the opposite direction a humongous flash shot into the thundercloud and  the light was so bright, it started teaming down with rain the all of a sudden the whole world went completely….. BLACK....

Alexander’s greatest fear

Once there was a child called Alexander he trotted quietly up to his enormous treehouse, and as soon as he got up there he saw a black figure through the corner of his eye. So he stood as still as a rock in the center of the creaky, wooden floor in the wooden shelter up high as the figure poured blood among the painted wooden walls up in an Ash tree. Alexander screamed as a light appeared in the glistening, starry skies above. The light was SO bright it managed to vanquish the incubus down on the land below. Alexander saw the light beam glazed through the summer land. Now no creatures will wander through the pleasured United Kingdom, hopefully...

Dear diary,                                                                                                         1939 September 1^st

I would like to inform myself that I will be moving into the middle of the country side   Switzerland. It’s now the first week of ww2 and straight away we were all sent on a train, all of us found it hard to say goodbye to our parents, thinking what’s going to happen to them.

 It’s quite scary really because you are living with people you don’t know, but at least you don’t have to face those spot lights because they are so bright. They blind you…

Going throw the bumpy track I’m writing this because I have nothing else to do. My stomach is churning as I’m getting further and further away from my precious mother

8 Hours before the nightmare!
It was a bitter evening in Canada, when my parents decided to go for  a stroll in the haunted forest (well ,I thought it was haunted!).  I invited my best  friend Harvey! We headed of through the misty woods: with only two torches.
We came to a path witch led us to the worlds most dangerous waterfall! Harvey and i went to the violent   waterfall , my parents didn't notice. They carried on! I slowly turned around to look at the moon, we couldn't the rolled over the moon, suddenly it went pitch black. Out of nowhere a strike of lightning hit the waterfall, I looked around and Harvey had gone! The light was so bright!I cautiously peered around the corner, and there it was. The wood demon...

The deathly light...
My name was Marcus, and here is my story.
Everything was pitch black. I remember falling, skydiving even: the trust-worthy parachute had failed for the first time. It felt like I was floating on air, until I hit something extremely hard. I saw the light, it was SO bright.  Closer, Closer, Closer.                                                                                         I stepped forward into the light.
Marcus’ mother Margaret was weeping beside his hospital bed. The ECG machine stopped beeping and was now making a low humming noise.
“MARCUS! MARCUS! MARCUS! MARCUS!”  Margaret cried, “COME BACK TO ME!”

One Direction trouble for Mr K!

Mr K had an embarrassing day just before Christmas when he had to wear a One Direction t-shirt all day! He'd challenged Ash Class to improve their mental maths scores, and when they all did he had to do his forfeit! It was even in the Shropshire Star - read about it here!

Hi everyone - this week's homework is some basic revision to help you with our maths work on fractions.
You need to play the game below, then read the four pages of fractions information (Introduction, What is a Fraction?, Improper and Mixed Fractions, Fractions of Quantities), and finally answer the ten questions in the quiz. Then you need to leave a comment on this post, telling me IN DETAIL what you've learnt, what you're confident on and what you'd like some more help with.
