Shadows... by Jamie!

Shadows never used to follow you around, they were extremely lonely and never had any friends. Until one precious little day, a girl named Zoella asked if they would join the humans, maybe not just the humans, maybe… everything. The shadows couldn’t tell if she was serious or not, but they agreed that it could be a new start for them. They cautiously followed everything around everywhere, they were simply attached to their new friends, whether it was a human, an animal or even an object. They never left their side, yet when it got dark, the shadows left their buddies behind. Who knows where the shadows are when it’s dark, I don’t think anyone does, but that's just life. So many questions to be ask… but not so many answers.

Eleanor's 100wc - week 5...

As I looked around the haunted house I noticed there was a black figure following me around the ghostly hall. As we approached the dining room terrifying ghosts were sitting down ready for a gruesome feast (in fact when they tried to eat their meal the food went right through them and there was an old tour guide who got locked in the house had to clean it up). Later on we cautiously walked up the vanishing stairs and when we got up something was not quite right someone had been taken away by the ghostly black figure but who...

Molly W's 100wc - week 5...

Dead excited for christmas...

It was christmas eve…

That one night of the year when the cheesy old songs are on and sweet wonderful smells come wafting from the kitchen. That one night of the year where your imagination runs wild. It was 12 O’clock and it was time to put the fire out and head upstairs to bed…

As I looked round a deafening scream filled to room my little brother lay on the floor. DEAD.

It all happened at once the dog was barking the ambulance siren rang repetitively in my ears, my mum had fainted and my dad was crying…

All of a sudden it all went black. Darkness. Silence…

Libby's 100wc - week 5...

Surrounding our house's are cornfields that spread for miles. The corn in the fields is as high as a car. One summers evening Jamie, Molly, Chloe and I were running the in the cornfields playing tig. Suddenly, I heard a scream I thought it was my friends playing a joke. I began searching harder for my friends, shouting for them. I heard Jamie screaming my name, I ran as fast as I could running into something. It gave me a fright, when I opened my eyes it was just the Scarecrow. It was beginning to get dark. I heard rustling in the corn, as I looked around…..

Clara's 100wc - week 5...

The first day of school; was the most scary thing ever as I walked into the school grounds. as I looked  around; the only thing I could see was children either staring at me or playing and minding there own business. I really didn't know what to do either go in the classroom, or make new friends. did I have much choice? no. so I just walked over to some girls.. all I could say was hi as I didn't really have much to say. they just smiled and walked off. so now my only choice was to play football; witch didn't really work either as I was rubbish at that anyway. I had no choice but face the day on my own...

Angel Wings by Clara...

Angel Wings!
Angel wings is a mythical Greek character, a horse with a horn, and angel wings. she sets a curse if you go near her, and the curse is like myxomatosis, but for humans and gods!

As you can see, she is very pretty, but that's the whole point. Her beauty is meant to tempt you in to get closer to her and then you would have a curse . There is a myth about her and if you know the myth, you will know why Aphrodite owns her like a pet. It all started with 100 soldiers went out to war and half of them died, so Zeus (king of the Gods) sent Aphrodite his daughter to try and defeat her and turned out she did by making a deal, to be her pet so now she respects her. That is the basics of the story really. Aphrodite however, is the goddess of love and beauty, that's why they got on really well. Here is a picture of her now…

Sienna's 100wc - week 5...

Bloodied and scarred, as I looked around I waited with baited breath to see if even one moved. It had been moments ago, I was escaping war, bloodshed and violence. Screaming hoarsely, courageous soldiers rammed gleaming spears through us. My eyes glazed over as I imagined it: metal piercing skin, kissing hearts and lives goodbye. Suddenly, I felt frosty breath cascading down my neck. I turned to see malevolent, unsmiling eyes scan me all over. With immense swiftness, I felt my right leg tear and blood spill out. My world went black and my mind drifted away into sheer emptiness. I opened my eyes to silence. Furthermore, beating hearts .Also, colour returning to soldiers' mangled bodies.

Jamie's 100wc - week 5...

As I looked around, there was no one. As I looked around, everything was still. As I looked around, everyone, everywhere, was silent. The ground started to wobble, everyone was now screaming, and there were lots of people crowding the streets. What had just happened? Why did this happen? Who did this? Questions were screaming violently at me, had I done something wrong. It was frightening, I was baffled. My father said it was an earthquake, how was I to know, I was only three years of age. I didn't get life, it confused me, I would figure it out soon, hopefully.

Nathaniel's 100wc - week 5...

I was being watched, i didnt dare to look around. I had known that  i was being  followed since i had passed the old  cemetery i was sure i had seen a fleeting figure  in  between the  dilapidated long forgotten grave stones, the sight chilled me to the bone. But i kept going. “Oh why oh why did i ignore them and come out after dark” he said  as he heard a menacing crack. in a window he saw it, imagine a face that would kill you, a face that was worse than a  devils and more hellish than anything he had  ever seen before, that's when he did it- he ran for his life. It was gaining celestial body flashing in the pale moonlight , something hit him  “goodbye world”. everything went black.

Lauren's spooky story...

I could feel the presence of the ghost that  was slyly stalking me as I walked down the cold, dark alleyway. My hands shaking with fear, my mind was all over the place. lt was debating on whether to turn round or not. If only I'd have stayed where I was supposed to be, this wouldn't have happened I should have listened. Now what do I have to lose... nothing.

Everything, everyone stood still: I was mesmerised by what was in front of me - it was my childhood, my life, but I didn't care about that, so I did it: I turned round...

Lego Robotics!

It was difficult putting all the different pieces together, but we managed to create the structure in the end. Our task was to complete a digital lego puppy: at first it all looked confusing, but Sienna and I followed the pages with some difficulties along the way. When we had finished our puppy’s body we began with its legs. When we were half way through our puppy’s front leg one of the assistants showed me that I had made a mistake by putting on the tail upside down! Which meant that Sienna and I had to take half the structure apart and rotate the tail. After we fixed my mistake, my class and I went outside to eat some biscuits and drink some orange juice. When all of us had all finished we headed back onto the coach, waiting for our next visit to Shrewsbury High School.
By Coral.

Our school got picked to go and do some lego robotics at Shrewsbury High School - Mr Kenyon had a hard decision picking 20 of us to go! We (Ellie and Molly) were partners and finished first! We had to make a robotic dog by using lego to build the body, legs, etc, but we had a head that all the programming went into.

Once we had finished, we got to play with it and seeing what it does etc, but sadly we have to dismantle it soon to build another project. (A lot of people have become attached to their dogs!). We get six weeks in total of building, but two have already passed. Maybe other students might get to go too! All of the students that went are very lucky to get to be part of this activity.
By Ellie V & Molly W.

Lots of people do Lego, but not like this: £100’s per set and 130 steps to complete: this is Mindstorm!

We started a practise robot - it was a puppy; everyone was really excited, especially me. First, we made the bone which had different colours that the dog would sense and do alternating things. Tom and I (my partner) started to realise that it was a mechanism with cogs and everything. Bigger and bigger, heavier and heavier, we started to add the legs, but by that time Ellie and Molly had already finished: it was amazing! Now Tom and I have to get the head on and get the code imported to the dog to make it work. We have even more  to do after this like a conveyor belt and a crane until then the puppy will have to do.

Jamie's 100wc - week 3...

“OUCH!” i howled as my brother pinched me, “Connor stop pinching me, we’re on a half finished bridge for crying out loud!” We were alone and it was nearly night. I heard rustling in the bushes just before the bridge, I was freaked now. The blood-curling silence was hair-raising! A black figure strode onto the bridge, “I see you’re alone” said the figure, his voice was low and evil! I sprinted with my brother to the end of the bridge, trying to get away as much as i could. He was coming near, a gun-shot sounded in the distance.
Would we jump?

Ben's 100wc - week 3...

Here i am stuck in this stinking prison cell, but tonight i'm going to bust out of here and also run off!
night fell and i was ready. i dug a hole and ran out! of the stinking building but it really didn't work out because the cops found me they were coming after me with there dogs i ran as fast as i could i got to the ancient bridge and i could feel the floor of the crumbling stone and also i could hear the ferocious barking dogs and cops shouting and thundering footsteps! OH NO! the bridge has collapsed and there's no where to go. the cops were close now:what do i do? jump or hand my self in?

Chelsea's 100wc - week 3...

Running across a bridge, bare feet and all i could hear was  rumbling sounds coming from the guards chasing after me.
I came to the end of the bridge, i jumped in the river even though it was like a mini tsunami.
All night trying to survive the crashing waves, i finally came to some land.
I was frightened, terrified, exhausted, i slowly stand up and grabbed a massive stick. At that moment i was thinking to myself if would i live or will i die……..

Nathaniel's 100wc - week 3...

Bullets zipped around him, pinging of the worn mossy bricks all around. “Why oh why did i try and escape?” mumbled the boy as he ran on to the end of the bridge. Splat- a bullet hit his leg . He limped the last few metres. He turned around to look  one more time  at his pursuers, “this is the end of the line kid!” shouted one of the burly prison guards, the boy just looked  at them with his stone grey eyes. After ten long minutes, he spoke, “I am doing this for the people you ill treat every day and I hope this makes you think next time you kill someone or send them to prison for no reason...” There was a shocked silence and then, he jumped.

Emily & Molly P's 100wc - week 3...

Chloe's 100wc - week 3...

I was walking along the swishy wishy grass, when I suddenly looked to the right and, saw a small little picture of a cream coated bridge with bits of leaves dotted all other. Then I looked to my left and saw a real version of it, it looked and felt like I was in greece! I really wanted to go and see it so I walked across some bouncy stepping stones and reached the other side. It took a few minutes to reach it but I finally did so I climbed the bumpy steps and saw that it was a cliff!

Libby's 100wc - week 3...

I was walking home from school when I heard footsteps behind me i stopped and slowly turned around i saw a dark black figure i quickly spun back around i carried on and i heard the trembling footsteps again i started to run i glanced behind the figure was chasing me. i ran for my life. i turn on the bridge quick and sharply trying to lose the figure but he was still there i ran down the bridge  i heard the crumbling bridge underneath my feet i was at the edge of the bridge should i jump or should i get captured.

Rosie's 100wc - week 3...

Imagine a time where you have to run to the Half bridge or to the police officers and give up. It all started at McDonalds, three friends and one concern that they were all in trouble. Eating the food anxiously, they heard the terrifying sirens they thought,” should we run, or should we hide? We should definitely run!” as they saw the horrifying police officers coming in to the building. As they scattered to the back door, they nervously said, ”lets go to half bridge.” Sprinting as fast as they could, they saw a beautiful view all around. The girls slowed down really quickly as their hearts were beating faster and faster, ”what should we do: should we give or jump for our lives into the water?”

Sienna's 100wc - week 3...

I exploded through the spine-chilling trees, the sound of heavy footed guards thundering through a black night. Suddenly a curtain of green leaves swept aside to reveal a milky white bridge. There were posh porcelain steps hardened with marble and covered in intricate patterns bathed in golden moonlight. Below, a roaring river swept over polished concrete. I swiftly ran, my feet slipping on pebbly stones. As I came up to the centre of the once beautiful bridge, a cyclone crossed my path. Miraculously, it worked like a knife cutting the bridge in two: spinning around desperately, I jumped. After minutes of terror I was dying, dying, dead...
