The Solar Eclipse!

It was amazing to see the Solar Eclipse today! We had to be very careful not to look directly at the sun, but managed to use pinhole cameras and colanders to project the image of the eclipse. It didn't go very dark, but it was definitely colder!

Eleanor & Chloe's 100wc - week 26...

It was Friday 13th; I was home alone in my haunted house... I heard an eerie creek coming from the ancient floorboards upstairs. I froze, raised my eyebrows and rocked from side to side. I stepped out of the kitchen and stared all the way up the stairs: I saw my friend! I slowly lifted up one foot and placed it gently on the rusty step. I reached the top and I saw a shadow's glare across the landing. As they turned the corner, I followed the shadows until it came to a dead end, a really DEAD end...

Ellie & Trinity's 100wc - week 26...

 Attractive and soundless, their voice echoed towards the beach. As they turned the corner, the seagulls flew by the blue sea. They glimpsed at the edge of what seemed to be a tornado. The closer it got ; the further they ran. It got close really close. It was not stopping any time soon. Becky widened her eyes as the shock kicked in ; Peter rocked from side to side wondering if he'd stay alive for much longer. Out of breath, they had to keep running if they wanted to stay alive...

Chelsea's 100wc - week 26...

It's not very great here living in London, because planes come every night bombing it's all ready
been 45 nights.Tonight is the 46th night: there is probably going to be more bombing.
The siren went off,I could hear planes flying over,I could smell smoke,my heart was pumping like a
earthquake. Then all of a sudden bang! A bomb dropped some where near the shelter.
Frightened,terrified,exhausted,I'd slowly opened the shelter door,my house was bombed...
As they turned the corner my heart started to beep more,faster and faster,I new what they was
going to do to me...

Nathaniel's 100wc - week 26...

Wide eyed, I sprinted down the, dark and misty alley. Scared I looked around, scared about the

thing that was chasing. As I looked around, I glimpsed a hellish monster chasing me! Its fire red

eyes blazing with hatred, scared like a fish in a shark's jaws a rush of adrenaline threw me forward

as they both turned the corner my heart skipped a beat, I shrank back it wasn't possible because

there was two of them. Imagine a monster that is the colour of blood, a monster that looks like it has

eaten children: it was in front of me. It raised paw and everything went black...

Ben and Lucas' 100wc - week 26...

As the silhouette of the haunted mansion, stood in the distance. I saw something horrifying that I

am revealing to you. so settle down and get comfy because Uncle Sam is going to tell you a little

story, about that horrific night.

There was a little girl and a boy they were best friends. They ask there mum if they could camp in

the mansion for the night she said yes.

As they camped that night they heard footsteps above them they decided to Ignore it, there it was

again they started to get a bit scared but they both went up the stairs to see. as they turned the

corner they saw... 

Alfie & Matty's 100wc - week 26...

As they turned the corner, the sun was gleaming through the fully grown trees. But also they saw
a humongous leap across a dam. There was an enormous hill that they pedalled down and hit the
jump violently. The wind was blowing harshly in their faces which made it harder for them to
concentrate. Suddenly a baby squirrel was scurrying across the track and was in the way of the
cyclists. They were trying to get it away before they got badly injured.
Reaching the rock garden, they skilfully hopped through the rocks and they and saw the finish
line... Glory! They'd done it!

Last day of Manor!

Well we've had our last breakfast here - it's a beautiful, crisp sunny day and the children are all packed up and have gone out to their final activities. Here's some more photos from yesterday evening and this morning - we'll see you soon! :-)

Good morning! We've had another brilliant few activities - two groups were abseiling in the dark last night & there's been Wide Games, Zip Wire & Archery this morning. Next up is the Rifle Range!!!
