Sienna's 100wc - week 5...
Bloodied and scarred, as I looked around I waited with baited breath to see if even one moved. It had been moments ago, I was escaping war, bloodshed and violence. Screaming hoarsely, courageous soldiers rammed gleaming spears through us. My eyes glazed over as I imagined it: metal piercing skin, kissing hearts and lives goodbye. Suddenly, I felt frosty breath cascading down my neck. I turned to see malevolent, unsmiling eyes scan me all over. With immense swiftness, I felt my right leg tear and blood spill out. My world went black and my mind drifted away into sheer emptiness. I opened my eyes to silence. Furthermore, beating hearts .Also, colour returning to soldiers' mangled bodies.

Wow - what a haunting piece of writing, Sienna. You've really captured what it must be like in battle. You've used so much powerful language - your words paint such a vivid picture of the scene in my imagination! I particularly liked 'metal piercing skin, kissing hearts and lives goodbye' - WOW!
